Hey all! In case you didn't gather from the title... that's right! I'm officially engaged! My sweetie popped the question last week, and we're already in full-on wedding planning mode in order to pull things together in time for our nuptials this fall. But since weddings be spensive, I'm opening up commissions FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! Details are on my tumblr!

So a good deal of time has elapsed since my last journal. As you might have noticed, updates have been sparse for the last 18 months or so. Classes have been crazy, work has been crazy, training Kuiper has been crazy, and artistic endeavors in general have kind of fallen by the wayside. I am not expecting this to change any time soon, so this is me going on the record saying, don't expect a whole lot from me for the next few months.

On a side note, Kuiper is doing well. She is now 10ish months old and quite a handful. As in, she is more than half my weight now. Yay.

So there is finally some good news on my front! i.e. I am for sure getting a dog! Her name is Kuiper and she's a full-blooded German shepherd. I will have pictures up on bitterboucles in the next few weeks, but right now she's still living at the breeder's. I won't get to pick her up until Thanksgiving and it's killing me! My roommate ctim2008 and I are going to raise her and train her as a service dog. It's a huge commitment and a lot of responsibility, but I'm excited about it.

All that to say, I need your moneys now more than ever to pay for basic needs like food and grooming implements and special service dog training/certification. So, provided the funds are available to you, have a heart and buy a print (bitterboucles.deviantart.com/p…). Kuiper thanks you.

Of course, my desire for money isn't entirely selfish. I might (MIGHT) be getting a dog soon, and the money is to take care of it. More updates on that plot string as it develops.
